A woven basket from coconut palm fronds is the traditional method of transporting or gifting the Meekiri in Sri Lanka (A). This strategy provides a strong and rigid structure for transporting fragile clay pots without damaging the clay pot or destroying the structure of Meekiri. At present, Meekiri is commonly sold without woven coconut palm baskets in clay pots by stacking those together (B)
